Noble Insurance and Gore Mutual Foundation Give Back in 2017

The Gore Mutual Foundation 150 Ways – To Celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary, Gore has given over $1 million to help better our communities in 150 ways.

On December 21, 2017, the Gore Mutual Foundation’s Christine Denyer and Noble Insurance’s Shelley Vermeersch presented a cheque for $10,000 to the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and were joined by Rob Armstrong, CEO, and Caitlin Foisy from the YMCA Board of Directors.

At Noble Insurance, we aren’t just insurance specialists; we are parents, friends and neighbours. We have been a proud part of the Georgian Bay Community for over 70 years, and like Gore, we truly believe in the power of people helping people. We were excited for the opportunity to work with the Gore Mutual Foundation and the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka because we share values for supporting the people who live in our communities and driving social improvement where it is needed most.

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka provides a wide variety of programs and services across the communities of Simcoe, Muskoka and Parry Sound. Whether it is through health and fitness programs, swimming lessons, licensed child care, employment/literacy services, immigrant services, leadership training for the not-for-profit sector, outreach and counselling programs for youth, or camps for children, youth and families, Y programs inspire people to reach their full potential. Our staff, clients and communities are all stronger thanks to the Y, so we are thrilled to be able to give back.
