Wayne (J) Noble

Wayne has been in the business for more than 40 years; he specialized in farm, auto, home and commercial insurance before taking over the business from his father, Howard. Wayne opened the first Collingwood location in 1968, and eventually settled the head office at the corner of First and Hurontario streets in 1985.

Wayne graduated with his B.A. in Economics from Waterloo Lutheran University, (now Sir Wilfred Laurier University), and continued his education obtaining his insurance broker and life licence and his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. Noble Insurance’s president loves every aspect of his career, but sometimes it’s the little things in life that count, and Wayne will tell you that one of the truly joyful moments of his day is when he gets to open his mail. “It’s a small thing,” he admits, “but I really get a kick out of it.” He feels his biggest accomplishment, on the other hand, has been building a successful company; one which he hopes will be around for many years to come. Wayne has always maintained his passion for the area he grew up in. “I visit the city frequently,” he says, “but the best part of leaving Collingwood is getting to come back home.” He is very involved in his community and is a member of the Rotary Club of Collingwood. He delivers “Meals on Wheels” and is also a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge. Wayne and Hilda Noble have been married for 19 years. Together they have four kids and eight grandchildren, and enjoy spending their time together at the cottage. Enthusiastic travelers, they’ve globetrotted to destinations such as Dubai, Egypt, Israel and Turkey.
